About YHQO
YHQO was established in December 2009 to enable local benchmarking, development of metrics and identification of opportunities to help frontline staff innovate and improve health services. One of our first major work programmes is to provide health intelligence support to the NHS Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) agenda, helping providers and commissioners to improve the quality and productivity of NHS services across Yorkshire and the Humber. Central to this is encouraging and supporting innovation and the adoption of best practice through effective knowledge management and transfer.
The work programme is delivered by a small core team comprising staff from the analytical, knowledge management, improvement and innovation and economic intelligence functions at Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Observatory and NHS Yorkshire and the Humber. Find out more about our work by reading our quarterly bulletin.
