Communications Officer

Band 5 (£20,225 – £26,123pa), Full-time, Fixed Term – 2 years
Location : Whiteladies Road, Bristol.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our publications and communications team. This is an exciting new post in which you will be responsible for implementing key aspects of the SWPHO communications strategy. The focus will be on e-communications, including content management, writing and editing copy for the SWPHO website and a new ‘micro site’ on healthy weight interventions for children. The role also involves general support for the Publications and Communications Manager across a wide range of communications activities, from producing newsletters and promotional material to proofreading publications and representing the SWPHO at conferences and events.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of working within a communications team or media organisation and excellent written and oral communication skills. This is a great opportunity to work for a dynamic organisation whose aim is to improve the health of the population in the South West.
