Diabetes Public Health Intelligence Group (DPHIG)
The Diabetes Public Health Intelligence Group (DPHIG) was established by Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Observatory (YHPHO) and reports to the Department of Health National Diabetes Strategic Programme Board. The main role of the group is:
- to act as a focal point for public health intelligence relating to diabetes;
- to advise on areas of public health intelligence where the DPHIG might contribute through its work programme;
- to provide support for service planning and improvement through data analysis / presentation and the development of appropriate tools;
- to ensure that the needs and viewpoints of users of public health intelligence are reflected in the work programme;
- to identify opportunities for developing new areas of work that would support policy development and implementation in the area of diabetes.
