The aim of this document is to summarise the key facts concerning Diabetes in England.
It is written for general public use and is not intended as a systematic review of the evidence base on diabetes.
It is intended that this on-line resource will be updated on a regular basis and be used to raise the profile of diabetes, its impact and costs, as well as highlighting some of the cost-effective things that can be done to help prevent occurrence and reduce its impact.
The overall objective is to provide a simple, up-to-date, accessible tool/document to help the general public and practitioners alike understand the impact of diabetes in England today.
