Indices of Deprivation

This section aims to provide information about deprivation and indicators available.

Updates

The Indices of Deprivation 2007 (ID 2007) were released in December 2007, by the ministry of Communities and Local Government.

They updated the earlier ID 2004, and used many of the same indicators.

PCT level IMD Scores

The Indices of Deprivation 2004 (remove - ID2004) were published in 2004 by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister at Lower Level Super Output Areas (SOA) and by Local Authority (see links). These indices have been.> were re-calculated at a Primary Care Trust (PCT) level by the Healthcare Commission, as an aggregate of LSOA level scores.

PCT level scores for ID 2007 have been calculated by the YHPHO, using a similar method.
