Developing Capacity

YHPHO has become part of Public Health England, joining its Knowledge and Intelligence Team (Northern and Yorkshire).

This page is an historical archive only.

YHPHO is an integral part of the health intelligence community. We work with partners and stakeholders to develop and build health intelligence capacity in Yorkshire and the Humber. We have a central role in bringing together public health information analysis expertise throughout the region by working with a range of partners, providing training, sharing good practice and expertise. We are actively involved with networks which support our central role. We support research and development in this field. Within this section you can find information on the groups that we work regularly with.

Our networks

We also host content for The Yorkshire and the Humber Commercial Support Unit, a virtual organisation operating on behalf of both Commissioners and Providers across the region.

Research and development

  • Training programme – we run a series of one day training modules linked to core knowledge and skills areas for health intelligence aimed at current health intelligence analysts and wider NHS staff.
  • Trainees – an innovative two-year training programme developed a new cohort of high-quality health information analysts to support Yorkshire and Humber PCTs.
