About the workshop

A Business Process Engineering workshop was held in Brighouse on 25 September 2012. It was attended by CCGs, Clinical Leads, Commissioners and transformation leads within Yorkshire and the Humber.

The purpose of the workshop was to provide an introduction to the Business Process Engineering approach to system transformation and to highlight how the YHPHO can be used to support improvements in quality and productivity.

Business Process Engineering is as an evidence-driven approach to system transformation and has been used successfully in other health economies and by the NHS Right Care QIPP programme.

The workshop aimed to provide:

  1. An introduction to Business Process Engineering
  2. Give examples of how it has been used elsewhere
  3. Explain how the Commissioning for Value packs support this process

The workshop was delivered by Matthew Cripps, National Right Care QIPP programme with support from Sue Baughan and Jake Abbas from YHPHO.

Further information

Matthew Cripps has used the Business Process Engineering approach to generate millions of pounds of savings through QIPP programmes across the North West. Matthew was used as a consultant to help YHPHO develop the Commissioning for Value packs.
