Training programme for health intelligence
We run a series of one day training modules linked to core knowledge and skills areas for health intelligence aimed at health intelligence analysts, commissioners and wider NHS staff.
Health intelligence trainees
An innovative two-year training programme was established in 2009 aimed at developing a new cohort of high-quality health information analysts to support Yorkshire and Humber PCTs. This was part of the Health Intelligence Yorkshire and Humber (HIYAH) work programme. PCTs in the region have benefitted from hosting a trainee analyst. The seven trainees have had the opportunity to learn from experienced and highly-skilled staff and to implement their learning in a meaningful professional context. The trainees were also funded on a part-time Masters degree in public health or health sciences.
